A powerful and future-focused FGD with PERTUBUHAN KESELAMATAN SOSIAL (PERKESO) last Monday 12 January as Malaysia moves toward developing national guidelines for neurodivergent inclusion at work.
One truth stands out:
👉 Neuroinclusion policy and guidelines succeeds or fails depending on execution at the operational level.
Our Co-Founder Mohd Ridzuan Mat Zin represented Neurons Asia sharing our voice on what actually works for low-support neurodivergent adults already in the workforce:
⚡ Strength-based, non-clinical profiling to understand work styles, not diagnoses
⚡ Manager capability as the strongest driver of performance and retention
⚡ Practical accommodations that fit real Malaysian workplaces (including SMEs)
⚡ Clear, structured workflows that eliminate ambiguity
⚡ Safe, optional disclosure grounded in psychological safety
⚡ Simple, measurable KPIs to track real-world impact
What we advocated for is simple: guidelines must be practical, scalable, and built on lived experience — not assumptions. Co-created with organisations and stakeholders in the neurodiversity space. Barulah hashtag#ngam 🙌🏽
Super proud to contribute to a national effort that moves us from awareness to action 🦾🎉🤩
