Being part of the\u00a0PERTUBUHAN KESELAMATAN SOSIAL (PERKESO)<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0Karnival\u00a0Kerjaya\u00a0OKU\u00a0MYFutureJobs<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0was more than just an event for us, it was a powerful reality check.\u00a0

As a startup, we are deeply grateful for the opportunity to be present at a national platform like this, to listen, to learn, and to engage. We met concerned (and hopeful) parents, keen talents actively seeking pathways forward, and seasoned professionals openly sharing their lived experiences. What stayed with us\u00a0wasn\u2019t\u00a0just the diversity in the room, but the depth of capability, ambition, and readiness. And,\u00a0more often than not, the quiet hunger to simply be seen beyond physical differences, diagnoses, or perceived limitations.\u00a0

One particularly meaningful moment was meeting\u00a0Chua Marcus<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0an inspiring young chap living with Tourette Syndrome (TS). His openness, confidence, and self-belief were deeply moving. Marcus reminded us that neurodivergence\u00a0isn\u2019t\u00a0a deficit \u2014\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0a different way\u00a0of experiencing and navigating the world, and with the right opportunity and belief, potential can truly flourish.\u00a0

Another highlight was the session by\u00a0Dr Ruziah Ghazali<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0from\u00a0Bengkel\u00a0Daya Klang. As a thriving OKU professional herself, her reflections on grit and tenacity were both grounding and energising. A powerful reminder that success is rarely about \u201cfixing\u201d individuals but about creating access, understanding, and the right support systems for people to thrive as they are.\u00a0

We left the carnival inspired, humbled, and more convinced than ever that inclusive and neuro-inclusive employment\u00a0isn\u2019t\u00a0a \u201cnice to have\u201d \u2014\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0essential.\u00a0
