As we close the 2025 chapter at Neurons, it feels only right to pause, breathe, and say: wow… what a year.
Highs? Plenty.
Lows? Oh, absolutely.
Very on brand for a startup. 😅
One of the biggest highlights this year was being selected for the Launch stage. The moment that truly kick-started and reaffirmed our journey as a startup. That “okay, this is really happening” moment. No turning back now. Another huge high: the neurodiversity community. Warm, encouraging, and relentlessly positive. When everyone shares the same goal, seeing inclusion practiced and neurodivergent brilliance appreciated. It reminds us exactly why we started Neurons in the first place. A special shoutout to Peggy Lam Grace Gan Syafika Pabir Liza Liew Anis Yusof Nishah Govind Kumar Amirol Sazuan Abby Latif Noelle Lim Fauzia Sultan Pamilia Andrew Prashant Chadha Berlina Doyou Nazira Z. And of course, a special milestone for us this year was our first national-level outing at the PERTUBUHAN KESELAMATAN SOSIAL (PERKESO) MYFutureJobs PWD Career Carnival. Seeing Neurons show up on that stage was both surreal and incredibly affirming.
Now… the lows (because let’s not romanticise this too much).
Nothing, and we mean nothing, is as simple as it seems. Registering a company, opening a business bank account, understanding agreements, navigating legalities… nobody warned us there’d be this much paperwork and Googling at midnight.
And then there’s the reality check: not everything we plan comes to fruition. Things change. People change. Change is the only constant.
All we can do is pivot and always, always have backup plans (plural, because one is never enough).
Truth is, nothing could have prepared us for what it’s really like to be entrepreneurs, navigating uncertainty in the business world.
And if you asked us, “Would you give it all up?” Heck no.
Because every high, every low, every pivot has brought us closer to the work that truly matters. We’re walking into 2026 clearer, braver, and more grounded in our purpose — to keep building spaces where neurodivergent talents are seen, supported, and celebrated.
Thank you 2025 for the learning curve.
